1.Thêm thanh Quick Launch vào Taskbar của Windows 7

Thanh Quick Launch được người dùng sử dụng phổ biến trong các phiên bản trước windows 7 nhưng sau khi bản windows 7 ra đời thì với một số cải tiến trong thanh taskbar nên nó không còn được sử dụng như trước.Nhiều người cứ lầm tưởng windows 7 không có thanh Quick Launch nhưng thực chất nó chỉ bị disable đi thôi.

Để có thêm thanh Quick Launch vào Taskbar của Windows 7 bạn làm theo các bước dưới đây:

- Trước hết bạn bấm phải chuột vào thanh Taskbar, tiếp đó chọn vào Toolbars \ New Toolbar. Nhớ bỏ chọn Lock the Taskbar (nếu có) đi nhé.

- Ở khung Choose Folder hiện lên bạn hãy nhập vào dòng địa chỉ sau:

%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

- Sau khi chắc chắn là bạn đã nhập đúng đường dẫn thì hãy bấm vào “Select Folder”

- Lúc này bạn sẽ thấy thanh Quick Launch xuất hiện trên Taskbar của bạn, tuy nhiên nó lại nằm ở phía tay phải chứ không ở vị trí tay trái như trong các bản Windows trước. Cách nhanh nhất là bạn kéo thả nó vào vị trí mà bạn muốn nó hiển thị.

Bạn nhớ phải bỏ chọn Lock the Taskbar như đã nói ở trên thì mới làm được việc này. Và đây là kết quả:

Tuy nhiên, để hoàn toàn giống với thanh Quick Launch của Windows XP/Vista bạn còn phải làm một bước nữa. Hãy bấm phải chuột vào đường kẻ sọc bạn dùng để kéo thanh Quick Launch và bỏ chọn đi 2 dòng: “Show Text” và “Show Title”.

Sau đó nhớ chọn lại Lock the Taskbar để hoàn tất.

Nếu vẫn không thêm được thì có thể thanh Quick Launch đang bị disable,các bạn làm như sau để enable lại:

Bước 1 : Start > Run > Gõ gpedit.msc > Enter .

Bước 2 : Trong cửa sổ Local Group Policy Editor > Tìm theo nhánh User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar .

Tìm bên Panel phải Show QuickLaunch on Taskbar . Click Double vào và chọn Enable > OK .

2. “Chỉnh đốn” lại Taskbar

Với những bạn nào không quen, thanh Taskbar nhìn khá “lằng nhằng” vì xuất hiện một loạt các biểu tượng. Đơn giản là bạn chỉ cần click chuột phải lên Taskbar. Chọn Properties và sau đó chọn Combine when taskbar is full từ mục Taskbar buttons. Chuẩn nữa thì bạn chọn Use small icons thì các biểu tượng sẽ tiết kiệm cho bạn một khoản kha khá diện tích đấy.

3. Sửa sang lại Explorer

Phần Explorer của Win 7 được bố trí gọn gàng hơn nhằm tăng tốc độ nhưng nếu bạn vẫn “khoái” menu của Vista với các folder đầy đủ thì chỉ cần vài cú click là mọi thứ lại trở về như cũ thôi.
Vào Start, gõ Folder. Sau đó chọn Folder Options từ danh sách. Ở tab General, bạn hãy chọn Show all folders và Automatically expand to current folder để các thư mục hiện lên nhé.

4. Tăng tốc cho Win 7

Một cách đơn giản để tăng tốc cho Win 7 là sử dụng chế độ High Performance. Giống như Vista, Win 7 cũng có chế độ giúp bạn tiết kiệm điện nhưng đồng thời lại khiến Win 7 chạy như “ngắc ngoải”. Thế nên bạn chỉ cần vào Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Create a Power Plan rồi chọn High Performance nhá. Đảm bảo máy của bạn sẽ “tăng tốc” ngay đấy.

1. Right click on a empty space on the desktop and click on New and Shortcut.

2. Type in the location in bold below and click on the Next button. (See screenshot below)

8.How to Enable Full Clear Glass Transparency in Windows 7

STEP ONE: Replace System Files to Make this Work

1. Click on the Download button below to download the DWM_32-bit_7127.zip or DWM_64-bit_7127.zip file for your 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) Windows 7 version.

2. Click on Save, and save the .zip file to the desktop.

3. Open the .zip file and extract the dwm.exe and uDWM.dll files to the desktop.

4. Right click on each the dwm.exe and uDWM.sll files (one at a time) on the desktop and click on Properties, General tab, the Unblock button, and on OK. (See screenshots below)

NOTE: If you do not have a Unblock button under the General tab, then the shortcut is already unblocked and you can continue on to step 5.

5. Stop the Desktop Windows Manager Session Manager Service. (See screenshot below)

6. In Windows Explorer, navigate to and make a backup copy of the original C:\Windows\System32\dwm.exe and C:\Windows\System32\uDWM.dll files at these locations. (See screenshots below)

NOTE: You will need these backups if you ever wanted to restore these default files.

6. In Windows Explorer, take ownership and give yourself full permission of the C:\Windows\System32\dwm.exe and C:\Windows\System32\uDWM.dll files at these locations. (See screenshots above)

7. Copy and Paste the dwm.exe and uDWM.dll files on the desktop into the C:\Windows\System32 folder.

8. Select Copy and Replace and approve the replacement of these default files with the downloaded ones.

9. Start the Desktop Windows Manager Session Manager Service. (See screenshot below step 5)

10. Do either OPTION ONE or OPTION TWO below.

OPTION ONE:For Current User Account Only

1. To Enable Current User Full Transparency

A) Click on the Download button below to download the
Enable_Current_User_Full_Transparency.zip file below.

B) Go to step 4.

2. To Undo Current User Full Transparency

A) Click on the Download button below to download the
Undo_Current_User_Full_Transparency.zip file below.

3. Click on Save, and save the .zip file to the desktop.

4. Open the .zip file and extract the .reg file to the desktop.

5. Right click the .reg file (On Desktop) and click on Merge.

6. Click on Run, Yes, Yes, and OK when prompted.

7. Log off and log on, or restart the computer to apply.

8. When done, you can delete the downloaded .reg and .zip files on the desktop if you like.

OPTION TWO:For All User Accounts

1. To Enable All Users Full Transparency

A) Click on the Download button below to download the
Enable_All_Users_Full_Transparency.zip file below.

B) Go to step 4.

2. To Undo All Users Full Transparency

A) Click on the Download button below to download the
Undo_All_Users_Full_Transparency.zip file below.

3. Click on Save, and save the .zip file to the desktop.

4. Open the .zip file and extract the .reg file to the desktop.

5. Right click the .reg file (On Desktop) and click on Merge.

6. Click on Run, Yes, Yes, and OK when prompted.

7. Enable Transparency and adjust the color intensity to the far left in all user accounts on the computer.

NOTE: The current user account will have transparency enabled and color intensity adjusted automatically with this download, but any other user accounts will need to have it done to prevent a blending affect in the window borders.

8. Log off and log on, or restart the computer to apply.

9. When done, you can delete the downloaded .reg and .zip files on the desktop if you like.

9. How to Add OEM Information in Windows 7

OPTION ONE: Use WinBubble Program

Step 1: Download Winbubble.

Step 2: Unzip the folder.

Step 3: Run the exe., then this comes up.

Step 4: Fill out the OEM info and click apply. Now the newly added info should be there

11.How to install any version (or SKU) of Windows 7

Did you happen to grab the Professional Edition of the latest build and want to install Ultimate? That’s no problem! Follow these simple steps and you will be able to install any version of Windows 7

1) Extract all contents of the ISO to a folder on the deskop. I recommend using 7-Zip to open the ISO up.

2) Browse into the folder where you extracted all the files to and open up the /sources/ folder and locate ei.cfg

3) At this point, you have two options:

1. Delete: If you delete this file, it will give you options on which version you want to install during installation.
2. Edit: If you edit this file, you can set which version of Windows you want it to install automatically.

If you chose to EDIT the file, just open the ei.cfg file in notepad and edit:

Change the word to Ultimate or any other version you would like to install.

12. How to Change the Windows 7 Aero Peek Mouse Hover Delay Time to Preview Desktop

1. Open the Start Menu.

2. In the search box, type regedit and press Enter. (See screenshot below)

3. In regedit, go to: (See screenshot below step 4)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

4. In the right pane, right click on a empty space and click on New and DWORD (32-bit) Value. Type DesktopLivePreviewHoverTime and press enter. (See screenshot below)

5. In the right pane, right click on DesktopLivePreviewHoverTime and click on Modify, then select (dot) Decimal. (See screenshot above)

6. Type in how many milliseconds (1000 miliseconds = 1 second) you want the delay time to be, then click on OK. (See screenshot below)
NOTE: 3000 miliseconds may be a good delay time to help prevent viewing the desktop by mistake. Adjust the delay time to your needs though.

7. You will now see the time changed now in the registry. (See screenshot below)

8. Close regedit.

9. Log off and log on, or restart the computer to apply the changes and enjoy!

13.Sharing and Permissions

To allow full access to files you are sharing you will need to follow these steps:

1. Right click the folder you wish to share and choose "Properties" from the list.

2. Click the "Security" Tab

3. Where it says "Group or user names:" If you DO NOT see "Everyone" in the box you will need to add it. (If you DO see it you need to modify it Skip to Step 5)

4. If you DO NOT see "Everyone" listed you will need to click the "Edit" button under the "Groups or user names" box.

5. In the next box that pops up click on the "Add..." button.

6. Where it says "Enter the object names to select (examples):" Type "Everyone" without quotes. Click "OK".

7. Back under the "Security" tab in the "Properties" dialog. Under the "Group or user names" box click the "Edit..." button. In the box that pops up click on "Everyone" and then check the "Allow" box for "Full control" Click "Apply" then click "OK".

8. Now your Permissions are set properly you can set the folder to be shared. To do this you will need to click on the "Sharing" tab in the properties dialog next to the "Security" tab.

9. Under the "Network File and Folder Sharing" box is a "Share..." button. Click it.

10. In the box that pops up type in a name for the folder you are sharing. Click the "Share" button.

11. In the next box that pops up click the "Done" button.

Your all set. All users on your network can now fully access all files your sharing from the new shared folder.
